- The series is going past so quickly. It feels like it just began. How I wish English series had 22 episodes like most of the American ones!

- Ah, once again with the pact. Very much a linear, continuous plot this series, unlike last year which had mostly self-contained episodes. I kinda like it. Even though each ep is mostly about the same thing ( Read more... )

Ahhhhh, finally someone who isn't into The Guy. He really makes my skin crawl too and exactly what "other side" do we expect to see? Maybe he kills one peasant, instead of six per episode?

I adored Robin in this episode and found him decisive, clear-headed and definitely IN the role of leader. I thought his fight scene with Carter one of, if not the best, this season. I wanted to smack Marian several times and I usually like her.

YAY for next week. If she says "yes, when the King comes {insert other condition - yawn}" I'll break something.

Yay for more episode reviews.

One of your points interested me. You think that Marian would be less free with Guy? Personally I see it as the other way around. Robin and Marian said this episode they have to adapt in order to basically get along with each other in the forest. Guy has fallen in love with who Marian is now.
So really, Marian has less freedom with Robin, because she now has to follow him. Especially this episode where it really annoyed me how Robin treated her sometimes...but then the way Marian is treating Guy (even if he has done some bad things) is really no better.

Anyway, just a thought :)

In agreement with ALL of the above except-What is Guy on about, ‘come home to me’? Like Marian said, he burned her home to the ground. He’s basically held her hostage, previously forced her into an engagement, had a hand in making her father’s last months unbearable and been generally a great big bin-bag-wearing knob. Guy gives me spine shivers, and not the good ones, but the yucky ones where you’re all disgusted. The tortured emo boy act does NOT impress.
...so you've got your facts right but that man has a heart in there. I loved 'come home to me' because it is a line almost lifted stright out of 'North & South'.

There was very, very, VERY little Will in this episode.

Keeps getting better and better- and there's a pigeon in next weeks episode :D xXx

The funny thing is that I like Guy in my own way. Sure, he's an utter buttmunch, but at least he's not a flat character. I like Guy/Marian simply so it can screw up Robin/Marian for some angst and brooding Robin.

I've seen quite a bit of Robin hate this season, which confuses me as I think he's being written and played brilliantly. Robin IS sort of a jerk a lot of the time, and I find that incredibly interesting. He's got a martyr complex and remorse issues and can be insensitive. These are all factors that I find that make him fascinatingly complex. Marian too has her issues, which is why they're perfect for each other. No one but Marian could get through to Robin and no one but Robin is willful enough to make Marian happy.
