Dad's Birthday

I'm thinking about going to Moon Estates and buying my dad a square foot of land in Scotland so he can officially call himself a Laird of Kincavel. It's about $40. I'd probably supplement it with a Best Buy gift card or something. What do you all think? Cool or dumb?

That's what I'm hung up on, too... I mean, he typically likes stuff dealing with genealogy and ancestry, and I guess this might tie into that... But then again, it's just a 1 foot by 1 foot piece of grass that you can't really do much with. :-P

agreed, i think the novelty aspect is cool but it would probably wear off :/ he'd probably rather you spend the $40 on visiting them, going out to dinner or something like that - you know how parents are :)
