PS3 FTW!

As if plugging my laptop into my shiny shiny TV wasn't enough, now I can play movie files without having to get up and plug anything in! My PS3 arrived today and the first thing I did was get my D-Link DNS-323 NAS box serving media to my PS3 and it works!! :D WIN.

I didn't stand mine up either. Works fine. I also got the remote, of course…

It supports AAC, mine sure does. ovO

There are some issues with AAC over upnp/dlna. But I had a server fix for that.

I've had my external HD connected up to the PS3 the last few days and have been watching my downloaded stuff on ... well you have the same setup so you'd know. :) It's just a bugger that it doesn't support Quicktime.

I haven't tried playing any Quicktime movies yet. I just assumed it wouldn't work. I did try putting a region 2 DVD in and that didn't work, so I'm going to be hanging onto my DVD player for quite some time yet.
