Wincon is an annual gathering of fans? It started as Winchester Convention (WinCon) in 2006 for fans of Supernatural, and it's all fan-organized and stuff, so it's pretty awesome for that fact alone. This year it's in Chicago. It's really just an excuse to have a weekend long, squee-filled sleepover with a bunch of other LJ peoples. :) I went in 2006 and haven't made it back since, but I'm totally going this year. There is a comm (wincon) if you'd like to check it out. This year it's multifandom and renamed as just wincon b/c we're all made of win, lol.

ohhh, I'll totally accept Hermione/Krum as a rarepair. I've written them before. Also, I'm pretty sure I wrote Cedric/Krum once or twice. Thanks!

Rare pair that actually works if you do it right...Hermione/Snape. I started reading it because it was one of those 'HOW?!' they showed me how. It was awesome.

And I adore Remus/Sirius. They're my otp. But they aren't really rare. (I prefer them back when they were in school cause Sirius was fucking hot and Remus was adorable and shy).

R/S is tied with H/D for my top (points to icon), lol. And unfortunately, Hermione/Snape doesn't count as a rarepair b/c the majority of the people I still talk to from HP fandom are writers of excellent epic fic for that pairing. That's one that I just take as commonplace. Not that I don't love it, but it's not rare for me. :)

You know, Oliver/Percy was one of my favourites, and it's an OTP now, but it kind of spiraled and it's even listed as a no-no on some of the rare pairs communities, so I suspect it's actually not that rare anymore. :P

I do love Firenze pairings. Firenze/Ginny, Firenze/Charlie, Firenze/Hermione, Firenze/Harry.. I can pair him off with anyone; he gets so little love in fandom! :D
