gelsey is probably the only one who can answer this, but in the Dresden 'verse, there are different types of werewolves (the FBI agents that used the belts, the ones similar to Animagi like Billy & Georgia) - are there also werewolves that change according to the lunar cycle? I should probably just find my copy of Fool Moon and reread it, huh

I loved the second two that you reced. I'm still kinda iffy on the Brent centered one. I don't tend to read a lot of PAtD centric fic to begin with so that one may take me awhile to get around to.

Because of you I discovered spn_j2_bigbang and, honestly, I don't even know where to start. I'm completely new to the SPN fandom. I've watched the show but am a total fic virgin so any thing you'd want to recommend would be amazing.

The Brent-centered one actually isn't very Patd-ish. It starts with Brent when he leaves the band and deals with him trying to find "normal" after that, and then he gets a call from Pete asking him to talk to Bob Bryar after Bob's wrist injury causes him to be unable to drum, so Brent ends up going to Chicago to stay with Bob. It's actually very very awesome and I highly recommend it.

I haven't read as many of the fics from spn_j2_bigbang, but of the ones I've read, the only one that I planned on reccing is Dorsum ad Dorsum by kellifer_fic. (I totally have a spreadsheet for bigbang, it's kinda sad)

Let's see... the lycanthropes are the human-form, wolf/beast-souled. The belts are the hexenwolf. Billy and Georgia are simply werewolves or rather shapeshifters of one form only, I think. And then there is the loup-garou, which is the one that is cursed to follow the lunar cycle. Big, bad ass and practically impossible to kill.

Then, of course, you can get things like Tera... wolves who shapeshift to human form.

Okay, so if I were to write crossover fic, where Harry and Draco take Teddy to Chicago the summer before he goes to Hogwarts, and they end up at Mac's (b/c obviously, where else would a wizard visiting Chicago end up?) and somehow meet up with Billy and Georgia... how do I deal with Teddy? B/c he's partially a werewolf? Although he is also partially a metamorphmagus or whatever. Do we know if Remus passed on the werewolf genes to Teddy or how that works? I know he was too small for that to be addressed in canon. What are your thoughts?

Well, there are many options there. JKR said that Teddy wasn't a werewolf, but I don't think that necessarily negates him being a genetic carrier. I think perhaps his Animagus would be a wolf. It's really up to you, though, to decide if he is also a werewolf (a born one, which would be different than a bitten one, maybe?). Or if he's a carrier, or whatever.

I've always liked to think he's a bit wolf too, but it's a personal choice according to how you want the story to work.

he has to have some type of werewolf traits for the story to work, and I'd like to think that he is somehow affected by carrying the werewolf genes from his father. Do you think that, as young as he is, that he's aware of his animagus form? B/c that's a difficult transformation. Although he is part metamorphagus, so that would automatically make it easier for him to complete that transformation. So maybe he can transform at will and then just gets extra restless around the time of the full moon?
