The public school system tries to make you into a mindless cog.

I can't believe what I'm reading.

I do believe it; but it's fucking fascist insanity.

Public school systems create emotional problems, especially in people with independent natures.

Human beings are not meant to be policed.
They're meant to be inspired.

Public school was designed for girls. I'm serious, I mean that seriously. The system of education was found to be optimum for girls, because they learn best in a docile setting being addressed directly by an authority figure. Boys? Well, screw them. If you need to touch and handle something to learn about it, you're just stupid. If you need to move around to keep interested, you're hyperactive. If you get excited about what you're learning and "act out", you're a bad kid. All these behaviors natural for boys are outright called stupid, immature and wrong. Boys are basically castrated in the classroom from kindergarten on ( ... )

I disagree about the gender bias.
I think it's about a temperament bias; which is understandable, considering the distribution of temperaments.
I find [the four temperament types], to be the most accurate paradigm.
"Guardians" are the largest segment of the population (approximately 40%)
they're overly traditional, rigid, unimaginative, and seek to control and conform. They tend to be especially attracted to government and military*
The systems they forge are made in their image, and catered to their sensibilities.

Not all girls are docile, and etc;
but Guardian girls are, and so are Guardian boys.

I have hardly any Guardian in me.

I think we're different in that I am willing to play along with convention and ritual as long as you don't expect me to be loyal to it. *nods ( ... )

I actually read somewhere (wish I could find it - I know someone who might be able to find me a reference) that a more female-oriented format for public education was deliberately chosen because it was more likely to keep the whole class docile and make it easier for the teacher to maintain control. As far as the differences between girls and boys, there are always exceptions, but I don't think that means there are no rules. The sitting down classroom setting is more natural for girls than boys.

The temperament types might have something to do with it. But I've noticed that a great deal of teachers are idealists. Hence they tend to feel it is their job to raise the children according to their ideals, even though they are not their parents. The school administrators are definitely the guardians.

1- You're less prone to react to the systems, because you are more emotionally stable than I am.I don't know how emotionally stable I'd claim to be. I'd say it's because I learned early on that it is more advantageous for me to play along ( ... )

gah!

I just thought it was a subconscious thing.

They deliberately are thinking along lines of 'control' and manipulation?

sickening

The only people that think in such Machiavellian ways are followers with ambition, sans an once of real leadership potential; ergo thus the farthest from suited to be occupying any kind of position of authority, let alone influence over children.

And these are the people shaping the psyches of youth?

No wonder our society is so mindless and prone to conformity and mob-mentality.

*shudders*
(but that might've just been because of the ice cream)
