This movie is disappointing. There is an interesting story buried in here. Sometimes you get glimpses of it. Repression, Dealing with "the other", so many stories of how we treat beings we don't respect ( Read more... )

I disagree. It is mostly an action flick, but there's enough drama to make it worth watching. And it's no more "disgusto" than Alien was for it's time.

The CGI FX are seamless, letting the aliens really be alien, and not just guys in suits, or cartoon characters. I also like how it's just a slice of a much larger story. There's a lot of exposition, but yet a lot goes unexplained, because it's not important to this slice of the much larger story.

But I do hope that "Disctrict 10" (How can they not?) is less of a shoot-'em up movie, and more about the things that keep us from understanding each other.

Good feedback--THANK YOU. I will wait and Netflix it, so I can cover my eyes/concentrate on my knitting during the gory bits.
