Your sex scenes are still hot, just so you know. And I loved Bobby's "by the way I know" conversation - oh man, so intensely awkward, yet ruthlessly Bobby. That's certainly the most ideal attitude he could take; I imagine a similar "yeah I know but we ain't ever gonna talk about it" approach, with a similar clause of unless it's messing them up...more than they're already messed up.
Looking forward to Dean and Sam's next conversation! That'll be interesting. (And I've forgotten - Sam has told Dean about the demon blood?)
I'm glad you liked how Bobby took it...I really wondered about that, and I took that scene out and put it back a couple times because I thought I could see him responding that way, so I'm glad it wasn't just me and it works alright.
Yeah, Sam told Dean about the demon blood, he just didn't go any farther than to say that he was wanted for something but not the details of what so Dean's still clueless about the whole Lucifer/apocalypse thing.
Oh, something else - I'm really interested in how they killed Gordon, and I'm sorry we didn't get that scene or at least a vivid summary. I'm glad Dean decided to kill him ahead of the game, though.
When I was first writing this part, I was so focused on getting to the drunk!upset!Dean conversation I knew was coming that I actually almost forgot that I hadn't mentioned Dean killing Gordon so I wanted to put it in, but I also didn't want to go back and write a scene for it because I was feeling pressed for time(still trying to make Big Bang), and I kind of liked the chapters the way they were. But now, I can definitely see that that's something it'd be good to show...so maybe I can use that as a scene to go back and write from Dean's perspective? :)
Oh, Dean. Sometimes his addiction to taking pain on himself is as bad as being hooked on demon blood. After you have dealt with all their horrible problems and issues there is going to be an epilogue in which they sit somewhere with a cooler of beer and do a bit of fishing and are uncomplicatedly happy, yes? And then it is too hot in the sun so they go skinny dipping.
I love Sam being on the other end of the knowledge and protection imbalance, though, and trying to figure out how to both legitimately take care of Dean and treat him as an equal. John and Dean always had a hard time with that one with Sam, and now he's learning that that's because it is really difficult.
Awkward but supportive Bobby is good. I think it is only fair to assume that if there is established Sam/Dean Bobby nows, because it isn't the kind of thing the boys are careful and sneaky about and Bobby is, after all, a hunter.
I agree, Dean's need to bottle things up and take everything on himself is a serious problem of his that he's never really addressed. T.T (and yeah, I promise, they'll be a happy ending for the boys, here, ^^)
It's a lot of fun writing Sam that way, too, because he's already come so far since season 1, but through this he's coming even farther because he's really getting to see what it's like to try to be the one taking care of someone you love all the time, and it's much harder than he thought it was, even when you have the best intentions.
I'd like to think that Bobby would be that way about it...he loves them, and I think he'd love them enough and is a reasonable enough person that he'd be willing to just let it go.
This is my most favorite chapter so far. In fact, I am in love with this chapter and want to marry it. The sex was hot and sweet at the same time and Bobby knowing and still being awesome filled me with glee. Would love to know Dean's reaction to Bobby's knowledge. I have more squee but I can't get it into words. Great job!!
