I was one of the commitment-phobic folks watching this community, but it looks like a lovely place. Hello! I'm rather new to Doctor Who, spent last winter educating myself with some of the classic episodes, and got obsessed with Tom Baker's scarf the instant I saw it in City of Death. Hi! I'm making a massive project to crochet all the Doctors as little dolls and I was wondering about how long this teddy bear scarf turned out to be? I'm looking around for one that will fit my 4th Doctor Doll... here's a link to a pic: http://www.ravelry.com/projects/Wolverinegal/the-fourth-doctor

Hi! I've just measured my teddy bear scarf, and after a couple of years of being worn by my bear, it's 37 inches/95 cm. (It really didn't stretch much.) It fit my 12" tall bear (10" neck circumference) pretty well with some extra looping - I figured since Tom Baker's was ridiculously long on him, it was okay for my bear as well.

Your 4th Doctor doll is adorable! I don't know his dimensions exactly, but if he's almost as tall as a couch back, I think this scarf would fit him, though if you want it to be extra-long and loopy, you might want to add some extra bars. (I used worsted weight yarn which made a difference.)
