Hi all! I'm heading out to buy my scarf supplies today and I thought I'd do a quick poll and see what y'all think works best.

I think I used size 9, though it could have been size 10. But then, I'm a really tight knitter -- sock patterns intended for a size 1 or 2 needle I wind up doing on a size 5.

I used 4.5mm (7) and I knit pretty tight. I got all worsted weight, but made the amateur mistake of buying different brands of yarn, so some knitted up thinner than others; I had to double-knit those colors.

I'm learning a lot about needles these days: Mine are *is ashamed* 13 I'd say. But my local yarn shop only had very bulky wool that was so soft and nice that I took those. So I made my scarf 35 stitches wide, and now it seems to work anyway. Though I realized just now that I always used the wrong scale... I really thought the original scarf was bulkier, too.

I'm using size 5 13 inch. I accidentally got size 4 9inch in the first place which didn't work well at all. I also knitted the first section waaaaaay too tight but the next couple of stripes are turning out quite nicely.
