OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't know we were getting to see Karn again, and wow, what secretive hints! Okay, don't tell me any more details, I don't like spoilers, but I figured a prologue is meant to be seen, and now I've watched this, and WHEN IT IS GOING TO BE SEPT. 19TH I NEED A TARDIS TO TAKE ME THERE RIGHT NOW!!!!

Thanks for posting, I hadn't seen this, or heard about it. Very interesting indeed, and it makes me a bit more hopeful for this season. I really like Capaldi here, he's a bit more relaxed and not trying so hard to Be The Doctor, you know? I'm not sure how to explain it. Anyway, I just so hope the stories are better written this go around; at least we won't have the uncomfortable awkwardness between Clara and Danny. Come on Sept. 19th...or for me, the 20th. :)

I generally liked Series 8 (funnily enough, the ones that left me cold were by and large the ones that went over best with fandom in general, so go figure as they say...), but I know what you mean. I thought Capaldi was very good indeed on his first time around, but this hints that this time he'll be even better. Certainly, I very much liked the relaxed interaction here between him and the priestess (if I had my obsessive Doctor/Romana shipping hat on, I'd be spinning strange fanon conspiracy theories, but...)
