I thought it would be a hard choice, but after reading your thoughts -- many of which I agree with -- it turns out to be an amazingly easy choice:

Day of the Doctor, hands-down.

It was just SO good, and a perfect celebration for the 50th anniversary; a love letter to the fans and to the series as a whole.

Oh god- ummmmmm. Probably 'The Doctor Dances' would be my top favorite. Mostly just because of the ending half of the episode.

Not bad selections. "Fires of Pompeii" exactly expressed to me what role Donna had as his companion... she was a full partner not afraid to ask tough questions and share completely in his burden. Plus, squirt gun! You never know what he has in those pockets of his ( ... )
