Torchwood scarves

Last year, also on November 1 and also in this comm, I posted pics of the Torchwood scarf I had recently finished knitting. Today I have more Torchwood scarf photos. But they're all new scarves, made since August. And I will be adding one or two non-scarf Torchwood posts later this month. Anyway, here is last year's post for comparison.

These first three are pretty similar scarves. They can each be worn red background up, black background up, or one side red and one side black up. I couldn't decide what to knit at around the midpoint of each scarf (the part that is essentially hidden when worn because it goes around the back of the neck), so I did random things each time.

I didn't work off of a clearly organized pattern because that would make too much sense. Instead I just wrote the designs on notebook paper, numbered the stitch counts, and worked off of that. Like below, where the design is the T located at the bottoms of the above scarves:

I also experimented with having totally different designs on the front and back of each scarf. Below, I have Big Finish on one side and Torchwood on the other.

Charting different designs for each side is more work than when both sides are the same, and the results tend to be less even. The positive thing is, it's like having two scarves in one.

I'm not sure how many scarves I can cram into my luggage when I go to the Chicago TARDIS convention later this month, but some of these (plus a few of my other scarves) will come along. Burn Gorman and Eve Myles are both among the Chicago TARDIS guests this year!
