I'm writing again. Bits of fragmented things that I'll probably never finish, when I should be working on my term papers or emails or my Remix instead

XD Hiii. I'd like to take a moment and say that I friended you because I see you all the time in accio_rs_fics and am an enthusiastic fan of your artwork. :3 I'd meant to leave a note or send a pm or something but it was late and you beat me to a comment, lol
Max is an original character of mine from an RPG I participated in with toujours_nigel and ceredwensirius. We call that AU the Lollyverse. There's a big, sprawling, epic storyline that spans about 40 years, and one of these days I'll write it all down. Most of the fic I write is set in the Lollyverse, and should be marked.
The RPG has since shut down and the posts aren't available, but the tl;dr version of Max is that he's an old flame of Remus' (while Sirius was in Azkaban). After the Second War, Remus got back together with Sirius, whom he'd been with since school, and is now living happily ever after with him and Teddy. Remus and Max have maintained a friendship, but Remus often catches himself wondering, what if? Max is also a werewolf, and I think I have a tag for him around here somewhere

:-D :-D Awww, thank you!! I see you all the time at mp_ldws kickin' ass (I voted for you atleast twice, and there are a few that haven't had Author's added to them)!!! I also do think I've boringly commented on a Maurice icon over at accio_rs_fics, lol. To answer, yes, yes, a thousand times yes - very much a Maurice fan. Every once in a blue moon, I hardcore obsess over a movie (I say movie because it was that first, then I read the book) to the point that's probably mentally unhealthy (and I mean that, lol). I was going through a very similar Maurice&Clive situation with a girl, and it struck a very raw nerve and I clung to it. That line in the book, "I was yours once till death if you cared to keep me" broke my heart all over again. So yeah, lol, a bit of a fan. :-D
I like the sound of that 'verse, except the Remus wondering about Max bit, just cuz I like things happy happy happy undying, un-wavering love. lol. I'll have a look at it - like I implied, I love your writing. :)
I read Maurice long before I knew there was a film; it's one of my favorite novels evar and I am just so ridiculously in love with Forster's writing style. The way Clive treats Maurice just... gods, that man. He's scared and everyone hurts. *hugs you, because*
In the end, there's a happy ending for two people who deserve happiness each other, and I'm going to just cling to that, mhm
I think the wondering about Max bit is just a fantasy that Remus indulges in; he'd never actually leave Sirius or do anything that crosses lines or even toes them. Trust me, the undying, unwavering love between the boys is definitely there - Max actually left Remus in '93 because he couldn't take the constant, secret pining for a man good as dead. XD Sometimes, Remus just wonders what his life could have been like had everything all worked out differently.
