If I could chose an afterlife - my own personal vision of Heaven - it would surely be a Disney forest filled with fanciful animals like Bambi, or Snow White's woodland friends...
this is one reason I love being around the sheepies so much - they are normally shy animals who run away from human contact, so having them baa in delight upon seeing you and come running up for cuddles and just because they love being close to you is absolutely delightful, and a huge privilege }:-).
In fact it seems strange when I meet "normal" sheep and they are shy and run away. I am so used to them wanting to be close }:-).
Yeah, I can see what you mean. *smiles* It'd be nice to get away from it all, to be more connected to nature, and to not have to worry about all these human problems anymore.
What surprises me about this scene from Snow White is it comes right after she went running through the forest with the trees and creatures literally scaring the hell out of her. Then, as she breaks down and cries, everything changes.
The same forest that only a moment before was a deadly threat, embraces and helps her.
...leading me to a little cottage in a wooded clearing, where I'd spend all of Eternity with them.
*goosebumpies* yeah, they can take me by the paw and I'll follow them all into the light :o)
Ever read Wells' The Door In The Wall? I have this quote on my tiggy page:
"And before me ran this long wide path, invitingly, with weedless beds on either side, rich with untended flowers, and these two great panthers. I put my little hands fearlessly on their soft fur, and caressed their round ears and the sensitive corners under their ears, and played with them, and it was as though they welcomed me home."

Wish the whole story was so upbeat.
