How much was 5 pesos worth back then?

If I recall correctly, 1 Peso was worth 8 cents US then. (That was the "old" peso, however, which is no longer negotiable.)

You always amaze me the way you hang out to your old stuff! that is actually pretty dang cool! The last time I visited Guadalajara was way back in 1991!

Cool! I was actually born in Guadalajara in 1972, my folks moved to L.A. when I was 3 in 1975. My family still lives in Zapopan Jalisco, (Tabachines) neighborhood. That's when I last went to Guadalajara. I also had family in Colima, Colima Mexico. and yes, I would love to visit again! it's been too long! :)

Heheh, my mom, who is visiting, casually looked at the pic and said "Oh look, a 5 peso bill" ;)

Even the old New Peso bills are no longer negotiable.
