I just want to say that I really liked this. The interactions between Alana and Gilbert are warm and biting and honest, and the Doctor in particular is such a fascinating character. I also enjoyed the details, the descriptions of all the mechanics, as well as the slowly developing relationship, is marvellous.

And the research you must have done! Your notes were also such a joy to read.

And the last part about science and religion. Awesome. I wish my teachers ever said something so cool, that just summed up what I feel about the purpose of Science up so beautifully.
