Ah, thank you very much! ^///^

The trumpet instantly fixed in my mind as America's instrument. He's got a trumpeter's personality: Loud, in your face, irreverent as hell. He was probably the kid the band director yelled at a lot but still managed to lead the brass section like no other.

Oh? 0///0 I look forward to them then!

Two things about the brass section:
1) NEVER sit on the floor/carpeting in front of them (spit accumulates in brass instruments and they'll invariably empty out their valves/tubing on that area).
2) Be resigned to never being quite as loud as them, especially if you're sitting next to the tuba. (thank God my high school orchestra never got a sousaphone)

I'll see what I can do. ^_^;

I loved this when I read it on the kink meme. And rereading it now, Alfred's made me tear up a bit., as did Korea's. The piano for Austria, the flute for Prussia and the guitarra for Spain, the all make so much sense to me.

I don't know much about Korea, so the drums don't make that much sense to me, but it's fine.

And Alfred, I can really picture him being able to master any kind of instrument, if he really tried, but I think he'd always to best with the brass instruments, the Saxophone and Trumpet/Bugle in particular.

These are just beautiful!

Psst- The saxophone isn't a brass instrument; it's a woodwind.

Certainly I was inspired by cultural instruments and/or historical references for each country's choice of instrument. I waxed a little poetic on Alfred's and Yong-soo's, I think, because of the rather sober connotations with their instruments.

As I said in the notes, drums are a very, very big part of Korean cultural arts, coming from days of limited communications between towns.

Thank you!

XD I haven't touched a piano in years, myself. I'm so out of practice. x.x -should be ashamed to call self a musician-

I think Prussia would have learned the flute, if only to emulate his beloved Fritz all the better. Mmm... South Korea's was very, very personal to me, because I have played Korean folk music and have gotten the long, long lectures on its importance and history and implications.

Oo... America probably annoyed the hell out of Arthur with that! XD

^_^ Thanks!

Ah- good luck to all your endeavors then! Music was nothing more than a hobby to me, to be honest.

Thank you very much!
