^^; I have to say that I was tempted to write a South Korea/Vietnam story after you mentioned it as a pairing in the Cuba/Vietnam stories. The prompt on the kink meme caught my eye and I bothered to do some research and well... -shrugs- It's a historically accurate pairing too! ^_^

I can't even begin with how much I love this story <3 I bookmarked this page just so I can read it again and again. It's so sexy, but powerful in its words that show that there really is so much tragedy in Korea's life that he has that desperate soldier side of him, and that Vietnam's got so much struggle it's breaking her apart, even during a moment where everything else like that isn't supposed to matter - i.e., sex. :T I can't even tell how they feel for each other, it's so twisted, but it's beautiful, and I hope you don't mind if I'm in the process of making a PV based on your fanfic. c: Thanks again for this, I NEED more of KoViet, it's that fabulous <333333

Wow. This is such an old piece for me. It's rather odd to look back at it. ^^;

I'm glad you love the characterization in here; I was worried about balancing all their particular quirks and woes and personal histories.

Yeah, I saw when you posted this, and I thought, "Whoa, that's a long time ago. I should have found it sooner." |D

But you got their personalities down pat, even if Viet doesn't have a real persona yet~ Shame this is pretty much the ONLY legit KoViet fic I've ever found, though - these two as a pairing have so much potential…

And it'll take possibly ages, since I'm a horrible procrastinator, but I'll definitely send you the link once I put up a WIP of it :D

I think Vietnam is an interesting character to toy with, in face of her history, often the recent. Also, I really like looking at Asian countries in this context of being used as alternate battlegrounds and pawns for other powers and how they would feel about that.

I'm fond of a lot of Korea pairings, actually. ^^; I can't bring myself to choose.
