it has been a bittersweet week. i am tired and am having a hard time waiting to get back into the swing of an actual schedule. work is grand. the people there are calm and the general mood of the place is one that is relaxing [in fact i'm going back there in a bit]. as of tomorrow i will not have a four wheeled vehicle. i am returning it to my ( Read more... )

y0 zaha is my woman. i've seen original art by her in the building museum in dc. most of her designs would be dreams were it not for CAD / formZ , etc... you would love thom mayne, he's a bit more gritty industrial and less blatantly futurist. but for all intents + purposes thom is my dad and zaha my mom .

not having a four wheeled vehicle in suburbia is horrible. thats what propelled me up here. as ive stated in other places my goal is to trace hi speed rail all over the face of amerika . cars are sexy but i've never been affluent enough to own one . chris was turning 30 and had no license - in the city its just a hassle to own one . oh city . magical place where one never has to utter the phrase 'can i bum a ride?'

its sort of hard not to sound off-color when i'm telling you how much i like your gun

[ i may be able to procure you a copy of traktor if you need it, but its tricky, and you need to practice. for it to work . let me know . i may even be able to pull a mac copy, so yeah . ]

zaha is amazing. her paintings and screenprints are a inspiration. unfortunately i've only seen one of thom mayne's buildings, the california department of transportation. he's a modernist but he does something amazing with it i can't put my finger on in that building.

i actually am biking it around town now thanks to friends shannon and mike. specifically shannon as it is her bike. if i owned a car it would be an audi, but no longer a TT as i used to want. i want one of these.

whoa whoa whoa. when i say i saw CALTRANS i simply meant it is the only building of his i have seen. sorry about that. i haven't actually been there though that would be a lovely. could we go there? or maybe to the cincinnati CAC?

if so i'd like to stop by the marin county civice center. i liked 'gattaca'. hope i'm not alone in that sentiment.

the problem with my old neighborhood in manhattan is that when people throw stuff out.. its actually trash... covered in excrement and vermin and broken into pieces or what have you . i miss the rich people neighborhood
