o__o Only I would have been up at 3 AM watching dramas or something, and then right before I go to sleep check the USGS earthquake site (because I randomly felt like checking it), stumble upon the report about the 8.8 EQ and fall asleep... ^^;;; Only to wake up 6 hours later and over hear my mom on the phone talking about that same news T____T For

D: And we all just watched an anime about an 8.0 earthquake ripping up Tokyo.. and this is 0.8 greater (on a logarithmic scale... so this is 6.3 times worse...) D: That's insane.

But yeah, Haiti and Chile... it's the difference between properly engineered buildings and not. .__. Haiti buildings were all unreinforced concrete, it's ridiculous. D:

Yeah xD Didn't think about that. If it were in Japan, then I'd be like "OMG Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 o___O" (but that was based off scientific speculation and research on that, so yeah~~)

Yeah, I know D: Construction methods totally different, but then again how much money they have to spend on proper construction and stuff is so different between the two countries ne? D: Will take them years and years to reconstruct everything too, and hopefully incorporate some EQ preventive standards in the process.
