Why doesn't some company make a video game where you can press buttons to go out and plant flowers, or donate your time working in a senior's home? You'd have side missions like helping your friends move, or helping push someone's car out of the ditch...and you'd get points for being a good person.

Because kindness doesn't sell -- catharsis allows for a reinvigoration of equanimity, so it's emminently more appealing to the public.
