Room 238

When John opens the door to 238, he's expecting to see Aeryn. All he gets is Bruno, the seamonkeys, and his empty dorm room. It takes him a minute to remember she has Flight Club tonight. He drops his bag near the door, too tired to unpack, toes off his shoes and collapses on the bed. He never thought he'd miss a bed so much.

Aeryn takes her time getting back to the room, since the animals have been fed and the day they start expecting her is the day she figures she's been here too long. She opens the door and is halfway to the kitchen before she realizes she's not alone in the room.

She steps closer to the bed, checking to see if he's awake.

He doesn't realize she's there, instead burrowing further into the bed and wincing once before settling again.

She smiles a little, just glad to see him in person again. Gently, she takes a seat on the bed next to him and runs her finger up and down the side of his neck.
