"Oh," Angel relaxed. By a hair. There was so so much he didn't know that John could've told him that he had to fill out a form or pass a test and Angel probably would've believed it. "Um. Yeah. I guess. She didn't mind me calling her my girlfriend. And, uh, the world 'couple' kinda came up."
"I dunno. I mean I told her I like how strong she is and I bet she looks really hot in a... oh, you meant with you?" Angel nodded. "Yeah. I'll kick your ass. Sorry. You know how it is."
That's enough to make John blush. "Yeah, I meant with me and don't worry, no more of that. And, if she wants to stay in here, I have no problems with that. Though, Aeryn running into Callisto in the morning might make for some good amusement."
"Oh, they do," John assures him. "But, one soldier meeting another in the bathroom of a dorm room that is not there's? And both of them knowing why they're in that particular bathroom? Funny."
The look on Angel's face made it clear that he in no way was now having thoughts about other things that could happen if Callisto and Aeryn were in a bathroom together.
Such thoughts would be wrong. And also earn him an ass-kicking.
One might accuse the vampire of being almost agressively perky. Cheerful. Chipper, even. Dare we call it? A good mood.
