Room 238 [Tuesday Morning]

John is not ready to wake up yet. Nope, not at all. So, he fakes sleep and cuddles against Aeryn for warmth because, dude, it's cold outisde. Thank goodness they'd made it to the bed last night.

Since he's not awake, nope not at all, he takes a mental checklist of yesterday's events:

- Angel got a dog. Angel then turned into a puddle of goo

Aeryn can hear voices and the sound of a morning puppy moving around before she really wakes up. And then she does, realizing that she's probably not going to get used to waking up with more than one person in the room. And a puppy.

Also, John's hands are really cold.

"I'm really glad you came over last night," he says. "I love you so much," he whispers.

She loves hearing that. "I love you, too. I don't think I could change that."

"Then let's not even try to change it," he mumbles. "Because I'm such an amazing pain in the ass when you're not around. And I'm clumsy."

"You'd probably poke your eye completely out next time," she agrees, and kisses him lightly. "I'll be here."

"Good," he says, dragging the word out. "Speaking of my eye, wanna look at it? I'm supposed to check it to make sure it's not getting infected or something."

"Very romantic," she says, but smiles. "Let's see it."

"I do try," he says and reaches up to peel the bandage away. "Ouch," he says when he pokes it accidentally.

"Careful," she says automatically, and studies the gash. She brings up a finger up gently to the area around it. "It doesn't look infected."

"Small blessings, I guess." He tosses the bandage on the nightstand. "Do I look weird?"

She shakes her head. "No," she assures him. "You might get a question or two, but you don't look weird."

((Will be going AFK in about 15 minutes.))

"You're just saying that because I'm holding your clothing hostage," he says with a smirk.

Aeryn smiles again, and even she knows she's doing a lot of that. "Of course I am."

"I'll keep them forever if it means you stay right here."

"I don't think I'd miss them."

He laughs again. "You'd be naked."
