Remembering all the details is a big part of solving a crime or pulling off a con. A con needs to remember exactly what kind of obscure perfume the mark likes. The FBI agent needs to remember if that was exactly what he smelled in interrogation two weeks earlier. A relationship requires a good memory. Calendars are fine for helping to remember the big days. The trick is remembering the exact vintage of wine shared on a first date, the remembering it wasn't very good. Being a parent requires you to remember sooooooo many things that the brain starts to prioritize in occasionally interesting ways.
