I never played them. I couldn't afford them, but plenty of kids at my school played. Pikachu was everyone's favorite.

[he can't imagine why, though. they're not as cuddly as some people would like to think. as his gets comfy in Himeno's arms, he glimpses a mischievous glint in its eyes followed by gentle static crackling at its cheeks.]
"Pika..."
[one second and a CHU! later, Himeno's gonna feel a tiny jolt. or, well, a big one; depends on how well she handles electric currents. Pikachu's cheeks flair up and it gives her a powerful - but mostly harmless! - bolt of lightning for her troubles.]
