Non-magical Combat Maneuvers

The mundane ways that a D&D Monk tends to fight.

Improved Trip: Matsuri is highly adept at sweep-kicks and other maneuvers designed to trip an enemy, making them fall prone and thus easier to hit. Unless the character is adept at getting up in the middle of combat, or if they roll to a nearby area and stand up out of arm's reach, Matsuri can get an extra strike on the character as they stand.

Dodge, Mobility, & Combat Reflexes, or just Combat Reflexes: Matsuri has been trained to weave in-between enemies and not provoke "attacks of opportunity" as she tumbles and jumps around the battlefield. However, after each subsequent enemy that she dodges in this way, she becomes easier to hit. Successful "attacks of opportunity" made against her stop her movement across the battlefield until the next "round" (3-5 seconds). Similarly, Matsuri knows how to take advantage of characters that try to dodge past her and is better than most at making these "attacks of opportunity" against her enemies.

Cleave, Great Cleave, and Whirlwind Attack, or just Whirlwind Attack: When using her Ki Strike ability (unarmed fighting) or one of the specific monk weapons (such as her favored butterfly sword), Matsuri suffers no penalties for attacking multiple targets if they are all within arms reach of her. Note that this does not apply to enemies that are so far away they require her to move before she can attack them.

Power Attack: If Matsuri chooses, she can give up part of her accuracy when attacking to create a harder hit on her enemy.

Spring Attack: Matsuri is so good at aerial acrobatics that she can use her abnormally fast speed (see above) to jump OVER the heads of opponents and still make a single attack against an opponent when she finishes moving.

Slow Fall: If Matsuri is within arm’s reach of a wall, she can use it to slow her descent. Matsuri takes damage as if the fall were a number of feet shorter than it actually is. Currently, she can reduce her fall by approximately 80 feet.
