It is Destiel, really, from a romance pov - the Debriel and the Castiel/Gabriel feel to me much the same as their relationships in any other fic I've written about them, with the incidental addition of sex. :)

I have no idea where that bit about the sea came from - it was just meant to be a 'okay, where would they go for a hunt that wouldn't be just a description of the woods' thing - but it decided to take on a life of its own, and it worked! Plus, you know. Seals. And seaweed fights. :)

C/D/G is a very good OT3 and I commend it especially with polyamory and wings and so on!
Thank you! I sort of toyed with this world in my head for a while without committing to writing anything, because it felt a bit self-indulgent; but eventually I decided that I did actually have somethign to say, so it wouldn't be entirely gratuitous, and besides, there was a prompt that needed filling, so who am I to argue. :)
I'm just starting my phd now and have several other fics I want to write in the limited time I'll have, so there are no immediate plans to add to this verse. Which isn't to say I never will - but if I did, it would have to be futurefic, because there is no way I am delving any more deeply than I have here into what happened to those kids. Especially Castiel.
