Aw, thank you! I think it's sort of the author's job to try to love every line - or rather, to write it in such a way that (s)he, at least, can love it - but obviously it is extra win if someone else can love them too!

Haha, this is amazing. The dynamic between Dean and Gabriel? All teasing and pushing but knowing boundaries and filled with feelings and stuff? Yum. And Dean's mechanic hands and the details of the feathers and the conversation about physics. Just the other day I was feeling sad because I was just so over wingfic because it was getting same-y. Thank you! Lovely comment, and not least because you pick up on most of the things I like too. :) I do sort of have a "knowing each other inside out" (metaphorically) kink, because I find that much more interesting and warm than your average "surprise stranger hookup" (although, as with anything, there are a few gorgeous ones of those out there too). And yes, Dean is cleverer thna he usually remembers, and he does get how things work (though from a different angle to Sam's own investigatorbrain), so he would ask. And poke.
And I'm so glad to hear it had a revitalising effect on your wingfic interest - I am fond of wingfic theoretically, but I find that a lot of them are, as you say, samey, or don't really make me feel what the wings are like, how they work, what it's like to touch them/have them touched. So this was, in part, an effort to explore that myself. :)
