Basilio learns toddler skills. Clay moves his science class online.

Previously: Basilio grew into a toddler.

Oh, and everyone has the flu. This pandemic is inescapable.

Alma is better by morning, thank goodness. We have a day of skilling ahead of us!

Learning to walk.

Good job!

Basilio high-fives Mummy before taking a well-earned nap.

Clay has a less successful day at work.

On his lunch break (please note), Clay plays a video game.

When his boss takes an interest, Clay thinks nothing of showing it.

Quite unreasonably, his boss takes exception to Clay playing a game on his break.

Clay is demoted to Science Teacher!

He feels terrible about the demotion.

So do I. I regret spending so much money on the bathroom.

Of course, Clay should have self-isolated once his symptoms showed. If he'd worked from home, today, this wouldn't have happened.

Never mind. Time to put that new tub to good use.

Alma bathes Basilio once he wakes up.

And feeds him dinner.

I caffeinate Alma so that we can continue skilling.

I'm a stern task-master when it comes to training toddlers.

I like how Alma is sitting on the couch, sipping coffee and watching Basilio play.

Basilio's first word is 'bottle'!

Next morning, Clay wakes up feeling better. He's healthy, again!

Now you may touch the baby.

Some Simmers like potty-faces. I'm partial to the tickle-face.

Clay might feel better, but he could still be infectious.

Quite rightly, he decides to stay home and self-quarantine.

Clay calls in sick.

It costs him, though. Clay knows that some of his students lack a secure, stable internet connection. Remote learning will be a challenge for them.

'We should have addressed the digital divide *before* a crisis occurred!' he laments.

After he uploads today's lesson to the learning portal, Clay practises self-care by pottering about in the garden.

It's sweaty, grubby work. Clay heads inside to take a shower.

And that's when the Nature Sim stops by to drop off his hobby-lot card.

I knew it was only a matter of time. This is what you get for waltzing in and out of people's homes!

Clay doesn't see what the fuss is all about.

She's a Nature Sim. He's in a state of nature. It's all good.

At least Adriana has the decency to shut her eyes.

We're veering into current events, again, with all this pandemic-talk.

Bring back the toddler pics!

Clay teaches Basilio a nursery rhyme.

'C'mon, now, son,' Clay coaxes. 'Take your hand out of your mouth and sing with me.'

Drawing at the activity table.

In other news, I spruce up the dining area.

Just in time for Basilio's birthday!

No surprize that he doesn't want another party. The last one turned into a fiasco.

We'll practise social distancing and limit the gathering to household members.

Make a wish!

Basilio ages up as a Miracle Mite!

Alma and Clay congratulate each other on solid parenting.

Eating birthday cake with Mummy and Daddy.

Basilio as a child.

Coming up: The Coronas spend family-time together.

Thanks for reading!
