Bachelorette 01: Love with the perfect stranger

Melissa Fancey is in a frustrating position. She's become playable, but I never play with her, despite positive reviews of her cameos in my Still Human series. Also, she needs to complete a challenge in order to validate her citizenship in my Challenge 'hood. So, I decide to solve both her problems by featuring Melissa in the latest season of The Bachelorette!
Without further ado, let's meet the Bachelorette and her hopeful suitors!
Melissa Fancey is a playful Romance Sim who enjoys Gaming. Melissa likes a logical man who styles with hats, but not even covering his head can make black hair attractive to her. Her Lifetime Want is to become a Celebrity Chef, so she views this reality show as her first step towards stardom.

Melissa is the first to arrive at the show's compound. This is a lot I had created and then re-decorated for this challenge. It costs $167,757, and Melissa purchased it with $200,000. So, the difference creates a pot of $30,000 for the lucky winners to split.
The Bachelorette's private suite appears at the top left-hand corner of the picture. Moving clockwise, you can see the common area, the men's shared bathroom, and the men's quarters with private bath. Hot tubs for the group date are in a separate building. (Placing them on the ground floor deviates from the rules, but it is still a challenge for Sims to reach Melissa's tub.)
The contestants soon join her, courtesy of the Tombstone of Life and Death.
Andrew McGaw is an active, outgoing Popularity Sim. He's interested in Sports, Food, and the Environment. He likes full-face make-up and unnatural hair colours, and he prefers a woman to be fully dressed at all times. Andrew's Lifetime Want is to own five top-level businesses, so he wants that prize money to finance his dream.
Vincent Wolosenko is a friendly, playful Family Sim. His interests include Crime and the Paranormal - and punk-flamenco, apparently. He likes stinky women who use hats to distract from their body odour. But not glasses. The woman he marries will need eyes in the back of her head, after all, to look after the six kids he wants to raise.
Mayhew Livingston is a neat, active Family Sim who can tell you about Sports, Fashion, and the Environment. He's turned on by fat women with a lot of personality, but a logical gal leaves him cold. Good thing Mayhew likes a well-rounded woman: she'll soon lose her figure after carrying his six children.
Dilip Patel is a friendly, outgoing Romance Sim. He's interested in Travel and Work. In other words, in mixing business with pleasure. Dilip likes a creative, hard-working woman who doesn't talk a lot about her achievements. Like Melissa, Dilip wants to become a Celebrity Chef. So, he also hopes to catch the producer's eye.

Clay Haggerty is a friendly, outgoing Knowledge Sim. He's into the two N's: Entertainment and the Environment. He's looking for a drugstore cutie who buys make-up and hair dye, but leaves the perfume on the shelf. Clay intends to become a Mad Scientist, so he approaches this show as an experiment in deviant behaviour.
Tulip planter (Plant 007) by Avenida Sims
Bernard Fox is a friendly, active Knowledge Sim. He likes Travel, and, presumably, Plundering and Pillaging, since he wants to become a Space Pirate. He's turned on by women who work hard so that they can buy expensive jewellery and join fancy gyms.

Last but not least, Daisuke Watanabe is an extremely outgoing Popularity Sim. He has many interests, but his enthusiasm for Money and Entertainment will serve him well on this show. Daisuke likes elderly women who hide their years behind heavy make-up (aging geisha, perhaps?). Brunettes, in particular, look too young for his taste. Daisuke wants to become a General, which is a first, in my game.

The contestants gather in the courtyard and start looking for love. At first, the guys would rather chat with each other. Vincent seizes this opportunity. He takes an early lead by joking around with Melissa.
(I'm not controlling the male Sims, at this point.)
Meanwhile, Fury is out front kicking over the bin. Exclude him from primetime TV, will I? Well, take that!

Back in the courtyard, Dilip was just biding his time. He smoothly cuts in and holds Melissa's attention by hanging out with her. Vincent instantly regrets losing the advantage.
Dilip picks a topic sure to interest Melissa: that big pot of money up for grabs. His pleasing manner, combined with his extensive knowledge of fashion, soon charm Melissa into becoming his friend.
While Dilip is securing his position in the contest, the other guys make themselves comfortable in a hot tub. Daisuke gets so comfortable, in fact, the producers have to censor this footage. I'm not as shocked as Bernard is, though. Communal bathing is perfectly normal, in Japan.
At 1:00, it starts to rain. Melissa goes inside and opens the buffet table for lunch. Dilip still has her undivided attention. Over lunch, they talk about parlaying this TV appearance into a film career.
The guys stay in the tub until their tummies are empty and their bladders are full. Clay reaches the bathroom seconds too late. It's a two-tiler, folks!
Okay, to be fair, Daisuke is responsible for one of those tiles. He feels mortified by this little accident, so he spends most of the evening in the washroom, sobbing and taking showers.
(Clay is totally cool with it, though. He doesn't even raise a stink-cloud.)
While the other guys raid the buffet table, Dilip is the only one smart enough to sit down to a group activity. Melissa joins him and they play together until 9:00, when she decides to go to bed.
So, we finish Day 01 with a friendship, two puddles, and one count of public indecency. Dilip has taken a strong lead, but it's still anyone's game.

So that's why Bernard was shocked! He's so modest, he wears a full-body wetsuit when he gets in the water.
