Still Human 29: How to be a bad sport in one easy punch

Yesterday, Wizard seemed ready to tell George about Thom's rendezvous with an old flame.  Thomas, on the other hand, felt as though he had nothing to hide: when he returned home from work, he wanted Wizard to learn how to speak.  After some intensive coaching, the cat can now say four words.  Will they be enough to tell George the truth?  Or will Wizard decide not to break up his home?

This morning, George books their winter holiday after Thomas leaves for work.  He who rolls the vacation want picks the destination.  George reserves a room at the Steaming Dragon Hotel in Takemizu Village.  They leave in three days.

George spends the rest of the morning writing about Fred the Talking Fish.  Looks like he might have writer's block, though.

Aha!  A sudden breakthrough propels the narrative forward.  I can tell from his earnest expression that George is one of these authors who writes a daily quota of words, whether he feels inspired, or not.

When Thomas returns from work, he tends the plants in his new greenhouse.  Wizard joins him.

Word has reached the local writers' group that George has started writing a book.  (There may be a pun in that sentence.)  They invite him to join Desirable Discourse, in case he'd like to receive some feedback on his work.

I'll let him visit once the manuscript is finished.  I don't think George would respond well to criticism, no matter how constructive it may be.

That evening, Thomas returns the message that Ithuriel had left for him, earlier.

When he finishes speaking with the angel, strange things start to happen.  As soon as he ends the call on the landline, the mysterious Kelly Vu calls his cel phone.

Kelly is the inverse twin of my vampire-bully, Mary Lamb.  Kelly is also acquainted with Jeremy Byron.  All of them met that fateful night in the graveyard when Mary beat up Jeremy.  Since then, Kelly has been calling all of them at odd times.  What is she trying to tell them?

I'm not satisfied with this photo so I try to take another one.  When I click the shutter, my game crashes.

I play up to the point at which Thom calls Ithuriel.  I wonder if Kelly will call him, again.  The phone rings as soon as Thom hangs up.  This time, however, it's Ithuriel calling back - and he wants to speak with George!  I have the feeling that these two Sims are trying to warn George and Thomas about something.

Thomas soon has something else to think about.  When he stands up after dinner, he burps out of his “fit” shape.  Skinny jeans are so unforgiving.

Thom slips into something more comfortable.  He and George have big plans tonight, and he can't afford to be distracted by a tight waistband.

Thomas wants to win a gaming competition, and George wants to maximize his gaming enthusiasm.  George is also in desperate need of some fun.  Joining a LAN party at Games of Glory seems like the perfect way to spend a Saturday night!

They pick their stations and sign into a game of SSX3.

George looks determined to win.

His determination pays off!  George may not be able to beat anyone at chess, but he pwns up the n00bs at Games of Glory!  He walks away with $733.

Let's take a closer look at that game face.  I've never seen George so excited.

Thomas is also making a face, but it isn't a game one.  I was horrified by his poor sportsmanship.  Thomas is such a bad loser, he punches his fist through the monitor!

George quickly takes control of the situation.  He praises his boyfriend's micro and insists that the game must have been sabotaged by hax.

George knows just what to say to make him feel better.  Thomas forgives his boyfriend for being totally pro at gaming.

(Then George hurries him out the door before management can see the broken screen.)

It's late, when they return home, and they're hungry for a snack.  George draws upon his newfound culinary skill to prepare a cheese platter.

It looks like something George would make, doesn't it?  Just look at those precision-cut sticks and cubes.  But the purple globs?  That doesn't look like any cheese I've ever seen.

Thomas eats the purple globs without hesitation.  He can be a good sport when it comes to his boyfriend's cooking, at least.

Bonus Photo: Wizard can tap-dance!
