Yesterday, there was something in the air, and it wasn't just body odour. George and Thomas were acting lovey-dovey all day, so it was no surprize that their date ended in the bedroom. It was also no surprize that their date featured an angel, a vampire, and a talking fish named Fred. That's just the way things work, in my game.
After this passionate encounter, I'm willing to let Thomas sleep late and skip work. But no, Thomas gets up in time to throw on his chef's uniform and rush out to the carpool. He doesn't look at George or smile as he leaves their bedroom, but I'm not too worried. By now, I know that Thom acts first and thinks later. He just has to get used to their new relationship.
The autumn has been mild and sunny, but today the weather turns chilly. George stays indoors and skills up for a promotion in the Oceanography path. First he studies mechanics, so that he'll know his way around a ship's engine room.

Next, George works on the last required skill point: cleaning. I guess it's all part of keeping a vessel shipshape and Bristol fashion.
George is reaching for a book on advanced deck-swabbing when he's interrupted by the cat. Wizard is looking for a hug.
Now, you may recall that Wizard knows something compromising about his owner, Thomas. George was napping when his boyfriend went downtown to meet an old flame, but the cat heard them make their plans. Thomas has also (recklessly) been teaching Wizard how to speak. The stage seems set for heartbreak and betrayal!
I figure Wizard has been biding his time, waiting for the perfect chance to blackmail Thomas. When he brings his snout close to George's ear, though, I really think Wizard is going to whisper the whole intrigue to him!
But he doesn't. Wizard is up to something, though. His expression keeps alternating between cute and crazy. Then again, that sounds about right, for a cat.
With no earth-shattering revelation to distract him, George continues to study cleaning. Suddenly, he has a eureka moment. He thrills to the nuances of soap molecules bonding with grease!
George is such a nerd, but his enthusiasm for every subject is kinda cute.
Now that's he got his professional skilling out of the way, George can focus on what he really wants to do: recreational skilling. At long last, George wants to learn how to cook. While he studies recipes, he can't help but think of Thomas.
When Thomas returns from work, his wants re-roll. He wants Wizard to learn commands - including how to speak!
Thomas must feel as though he has nothing to hide. He is also re-asserting his authority as Wizard's master. Just let the cat try to wreck his relationship with George!
George is freshening up when Jeremy calls, again, and leaves another message. He looks just as anxious as he did, yesterday. Jeremy must have learned that George has been hanging out with Kenzo Tange. He's concerned that his new friend will start preferring aliens to vampires.

Wizard is an apt pupil and learns quickly. It must be because he has a lot to say.
This is an interesting strategy on Thom's part. He's equipped the cat to tell George everything. The next move is up to Wizard.
So far, the cat has been more discreet than his owner. Now that Thomas has revealed his boyfriend's connection to Fred the Talking Fish, George decides to follow-up on their taped conversations by writing a book: “What Fred Said.”
The plot is pretty straight-forward.
In the evening, George cooks his first stove-top meal - macaroni and cheese. He invites Jeremy to join them for dinner. The vampire brings along his dog, Alegra.
When they sit down to dinner, Alegra helps herself to Wizard's kibble. No harm in letting sleeping cats lie.
Now, George is the only Knowledge Sim in the neighbourhood who is indifferent to becoming a vampire. He hasn't rolled the want, nor has he rolled the fear. Where's your intellectual curiosity, George?
I can count on Jeremy, though. Good ol' Jeremy, he must want George to be his vampire buddy, by now. When I check his wants, though, I find that Jeremy has no plans to bite George. In fact, he even assures George that he is perfectly safe around him.
(Thanks for nothing, Jeremy. The main reason I added you to my game was to transform George!)

In the kitchen, the vampire's dog is also striking out. When he wakes up, Wizard scolds Alegra for stealing his noms.
Thomas cheers up Alegra by auto-playing a game of fetch.
Indoors, George and Jeremy play a game of chess - and Jeremy cheats! And gets away with it!!
Or so it seems. Jeremy keeps on distracting George, but he doesn't actually cheat. He just chuckles to himself and takes his turn while George isn't looking. I guess Jeremy likes to know that he could cheat, if he wanted to.
They play until the early hours of the morning. George is exhausted when he says goodbye to his guest. The vampire isn't ready to leave, though. When George stands up from the chess board, Jeremy lays out a new game. George feels badly about sending away his lonely friend, but he must insist. He can barely keep his eyes open!
(This wouldn't happen, of course, if George were a vampire. Just saying, Jeremy.)
