He is Wheatley! Although I imagine Portal 2 would happen very differently in that case, because he loves Arthur too much to try and kill him. Unless his core ended up corrupted. Hmm.

...*facepalm* For some reason I was equating Wheatley = Johnson's kid. (even though that's totally Chell *nod*)
And, well, Eames died before the transfer completed, right? Or was I reading that wrong? Would explain his craziness in P2. (or we can just, you know, handwave that part. I always thought the 'portal on the moon' thing was a tad silly...)
The personality transfer was (presumably) successful; whether his body died or not, I have no idea. I think I'd rather it have survived if only so he could be potentially returned to it later (although it would have been frozen in a dying state, and the image of a stubborn romance between Arthur and Eames!core would be pretty cute).
OMG. I didn't think it was possible for me to love you and your fic more than I already do (sorry, is that creepy? D:) but OMG YOU WROTE A PORTAL AU. A PORTAL AU BASED ON THE RATMAN COMIC. My not-so-inner geek cannot stop flailing with joy :D You made Arthur Chell (they are both such uber BAMFs, I can't even). YOU MADE EAMES WHEATLEY. I LOVE WHEATLEY SOOOOO MUCH (and all the Wheatley haters out there can go float in space forever :P). And how are they so in-character?? Are you magic?
IKR. Apparently, not everyone is a fan of Stephen Merchant and I've read comments saying they wished Wheatley would shut up, but honestly I played through the game multiple times just to hear all his dialogue. And I cried at the game's ending :(
I totally second the call for a sequel, though for the sake of my tender heart I hope you'll write something with a happy ending. But then again, your angst is sooooooo wonderfully painful that I'd still read the heck out of whatever you choose to write :D
I've wanted someone to write a Portal/Inception crossover for so long and this is AMAZING!!!! 8D Arthur would so beat GLaDOS' ass, so hard... Oh, man....
I also would love to see a sequel to this (even though I haven't had a chance to play Portal 2 yet)!!!! 8D
Is it bad that I almost cried while reading Lab Rat? DON'T JUDGE I'D JUST FINISHED P2 AND THAT MUSIC WAS PLAYING AND IT WAS SAD. :(
Anyway, if this is strange then I am happy to be strange too, because I've got a wip on my hard drive wherein Eames is Atlas and Arthur is P-Body and Arthur pushes Eames into a bottomless pit whenever he's annoyed with him. But this. THIS. This was amazing and heartwrenching and omgg so good that it actually got my ass out of bed and over to my laptop to type this book of a comment because VALVE BUDDIES OH MAN. Fistbump.
