I just adore the world in this, and the quip on Roy's kids is just so Ed. I guess we won't be seeing them, though?
Arthritis, nice for you to show so practicallly how he is getting old. ^^
Now if the Estvarya would be continued...

No, we most likely won't see Roy's (or Jean's) kids. We already had so many OCs we had to cut the cast somewhere XD We may, or may not even show Al and Mei's girls.
Yeah, we wanted to point out that it was several years in the future (15, to be exact), but just saying so really doesn't bring it home quite as well as showing the oldest character in the story showing his age a little. Don't worry, Scar-luv is still able to kick-ass with the best of them (except, of course, his teacher, who still has a few tricks up his sleeves).
As for Estvarya... She's working on it, I promise! XD

The detail keeps being wonderful (you gotta also appreciate the artist cameo - it's actually believable too) and as the plot thickens each chapter is well worth the breaks.
The rising hostility and mistrust will no doubt make the next chapter even more engaging. Someone warn Riza & hide Roy. ;)

I'm glad you found the cameo believable. We knew that Roy was going to build a solid intel network in Xerxes if he was going to spend any time there, and a bar would be a good place to start -- adding a sister to the bar owner, and making her an artist was easy. What better way to carry intel, than with symbols hidden in the drawing, instead of words? It wasn't a stretch after that to decide she would dig in with her pencil so he could feel the symbols.
Oh yes... there will be more tension in the next chapter -- along with a little bit of weirdness. ;)

I love Scar's name--though I wonder if I've pronunciation right. (It sounds pretty any way I say it though. ^^) The subtle changes to the past fit smoothly as if it actually happened that way, and the whole work is so believable that I keep forgetting that it's diverged from the manga.
I can't wait to see more of this. I admire all the thought and planning that you've both put into the culture and spirit and feel of the Ishvarun people. That kind of dedication makes me want to read anything written in this AU.
Very well done. I'll be excitedly awaiting your next update! :)

The thought of more hell breaking loose is almost too much; how can you possibly top what's already been unleashed?
When this story is at last finished, I hope you will have it printed, and bound with dzioo's art. That way, I can pull it off my bookshelf and enjoy favorite chapters all over again.
