A little update

Jan 12, 2015 05:52

It was a truly lovely holiday, spent mostly in Sri Lanka (which is a little like India Lite - cleaner, less-crowded, less poverty, less color and more expensive). There was beach time and city time and honest-to-god-no-wifi-or-electric, swimming-in-a-waterfull, rainforest time ( Read more... )

the hat, just life stuff, i think this is happiness, blogging

Firstly, CONGRATS on your engagement! W00!!

Secondly, aren't you a little young to be writing your memoirs? *wink*

Thirdly, now I want to visit Sri Lanka, LOL!

Thanks!

It's more of a limited-time memoir of a particular year :)

Sri Lanka is gorgeous, I recommend it!

Congrats on your engagement! I'm wishing you and "your guy" the very best! And I'm glad to see you didn't refer to him as "The Man" in your post. ;)

I've always wanted to visit Sri Lanka, as one of my favorite authors (Arthur C. Clarke) wrote of it often after he moved there. Now you have me seriously curious about the place...

Yay for proposals, that's awesome!!!!!

Perhaps we can help keep each other on track. I still haven't gotten through that revision course for my llama book. I know if I worked on it every day, even a LITTLE BIT, it would move right along, but I just...procrastinate. It's especially bad when I have super-busy hoop sale days.

PLEASE let us know if your memoir sells, I will definitely pick it up to read! I love memoirs and I love your writing, so that all sounds like a big win, reading-wise!

And I shall add you on Instagram (I'm jess_herself)!

Thanks!

Yeah, I'm having a hard time staying on track, too. What do you think would work?

I'll totally holler if it sells!

For me, scheduled check-ins work best - I spend most of my time on Facebook and I use groups like I used to use communities, for checking in and posting updates. Maybe we could open up a group to anyone working on writing projects this year?

Mazal tov. I cannot believe you waited until 3/5 of the way through the entry to tell us the big news. I mean, yay for finishing your novel and I hope it sells like hotcakes but hey, proposal! Marriage! It's what we vicariously live for, yanno.

Thanks!

Yeah - I think because it feels like another step rather than a big leap? But I'm pretty damn thrilled :)
