*hugs* You're very brave for admitting that and I think there are so many psychological reasons as to why people plagiarize at certain points in their lives. But you really are a great writer, and you've learned from it--that's what matters most.

As for me, I sometimes wonder if my writing is too dark to the point where I fear showing it to others because they might change their perception of me. I'm generally an HEA type of person, but usually my characters go through hell and back to get there. I've even had people raise their eyebrows at my poetry and it's nothing compared to my fiction stories.

Eye of the beholder and all that. :)

It is so, so tempting to be the middle. So, many times I've told myself, I don't want to be a best seller. I just want to be a mid-list author, selling books and having people read them. Which would be great.

But why not go for the best possible, the person so done in by their efforts they collapse at the finish line, given their all best?
