:> I could gush more about you you know. Like, how easy you made adjusting to being a mama seem, or what great shape you're in after having a baby, or the awesome feat of BFing for a year, or the memories we have together with Connie on the coast, or or...

I admire so much how honest you are about your issues and the realities of parenting. Also? You've got two gorgeous little boys.

Thank you sweetheart. I feel lucky to have met you and a group of people via fandom who have watched me grow and change and I enjoy seeing the directions everyone has gone in.

I understand you'll be in LA soon? We should do lunch or something!

Sorry for the delay here, I have been trying to get in touch with the people I'm traveling with and hammer out our schedule - it would be awesome to be able to catch up! Mav and I are flying in on the 4th and out on the 9th. I'm trying to figure out what days we'll have some time free.

I love your comments in my journal and on our community. You are so incredibly nuanced and subtle in a generally non-nuanced and non-subtle milieu. I was in awe of how, in my LJ recently when some of my friends got a little snarky, you said, simultaneously, that you didn't want to judge other parents, but also (by your tone) that you didn't judge THEM for getting a little snarky. That's a lot to convey in a few sentences.

You are a terrific writer for the reasons above, but also for your beautiful grasp of vivid descriptive language and your cool eye on what is at stake in a particular post.

I also think you are a terrific mother. TERRIFIC. And since our society is set up to make us all feel like failures no matter what we're doing, I'll say it again: I believe you are doing a terrific job.

It's probably a good think lj doesn't come with webcams capability because you'd see my big blushing grin a la Samwise Gamgee in Bakshi's LOTR. You would also see my frizzy hair and begs >.>

I never realized I convey that much via comment threads. And yeah I try to avoid snark and go for the nitty gritty pure info you know? I get enough drama for my kids lol

So in short, thank you thank you thank you. My impression of you was that you are a compassionate, highly intelligent mama who is far wiser than I am and I hope to be as put together about being a mom the way you are. It takes a terrific mom to know one. ♥

Now I'M blushing!

But I have to say in the interest of journalistic integrity that the only way a friend would call me "wise," I think, would be if the word "ass" was affixed to the end of it. :-P

You are super strong and smart and driven, and basically a huge inspiration to me. I can't imagine doing all that you do. The fact that you take such good care of your family, that you have ambitions, and that you still try to make time to enjoy life and accomplish smaller goals...You amaze me :) and I hope that I am half as determined and strong if/when I get to a similar place in life.

Sorry if I ramble a bit, but it's the truth. I don't comment much, but I do follow what's going on with you and the fam.

And you still inspire me. ♥ Especially as now as I see Nathan grow and take the world in from a unique perspective. I think of how warm, funny, open, honest, and talented you are and I know that no matter he'll be just fine.
