My parents just sent me a Jake Shimabukuro CD. Oh god. I love them for sending it and am terribly jealous they got to see him live. Also I can't decide whether I want to swoon or kill myself because I'll never be that good.

I happened upon that video some weeks ago when looking for the Tom Petty/Jeff Lynne/Dhani Harrison/Prince performance of the song (which is now no longer there thanks to stupid Viacom) and was blown away by his mad uke-shredding skillz. I've watched it a bunch of times since then and sent the link to my dad.
