Point System/Dummy guide

Apr 29, 2006 14:17

- Each round concists of 10 challenges.

- You need to sign up before the round starts in order to enter the challenges of that ten challenge round, or you'll have to wait until the next one.

- It doesn't matter if you miss one challenge, but that will probably result in you having a smaller chance of winning.

- Each round will have a specific theme that the caps/challenges will relate too. It could be for example TV shows, actors/actresses, themes, stock pictures etc.

- For each challenge there will be first, second and third place, plus mod's choice. After each challenge a voting will be posted and everyone gets to vote for their three favourite icons, in order.

- The winners of each challenge will get points after this system:

First place: 8 points
Second place: 6 points
Third place: 4 points
Mod's choice: 2 points

- Meaning that if you get first place in let's say, challenge #1 of the round you're participating in you get 8 points. If you then in challenge #2 get mod's choice, you get 2 points. Which means that you have gained 8 + 2 = 10 points so far.

- With the results of each challenge the current points tally will be displayed. The person with the highest amount of points at the end of a round wins the entire round. The one with the second highest amount of points at the end of the round places second in that round, the person with the third highest amount of points gets third place and so on.

- A sample scenario:
At the end of challenge #10 in round #1 there are five people who have gained points by getting placed in the challenges during the round.

persona - 10 points
personb - 44 points
personc - 25 points
persond - 8 points
persone - 16 points

That would mean personb wins round #1. personc comes second and persone comes third.

- That's it! After a round has finished sign ups for a new one will start.
