Sherlock BBC Fic: The Most Permanent Destination (Masterpost)
Title: The Most Permanent Destination (WIP)

Warnings: Violence, violence gore and violence, profanity, discrimination, prejudice, trans-identity phobia, victim blaming (a little bit), ableism maybe?, gratuitous religious metaphors. Please note that this is not supposed to be allegory.
Summary: Wing AU (my apologies; it's not my fault!) in which John lost his left wing in Afghanistan and Sherlock's wings are mechanical. The cripple and the experiment, they probably were, and would seem an unlikely appropriate pair.
Notes: Thanks to cuddlytogas/hoc_voluerunt for the support, cuddles, critique, and for helping me to figure out what the deal is with crossbows. Insert usual disclaimers here -- I make no profit and actually lost a fair bit of time and sanity over this -- et cetera ad nauseum. I've been staring at this fic too long.
Notes Two: There are probably a lot of spacing issues and inexplicable font changes, I'm not used to dealing with LJ's finicky formatting. Also, this thing has a lot of parts, and it's just because of the post length limit; this was written with only three parts and a prologue. Because of the post length limit, some posts will cut off in the middle of a scene; this fic follows the show pretty closely, I know full well it doesn't warrant all of these little cliffhangers.
