At the moment we're in the tag nominations stage, so if you're thinking of participating, check out the profile/FAQ and then head over to the tagset and check out which friendships are nominated so far, and nominate any extra ones you might like to write or read

Hi there!

I'm afraid I don't get to see who nominated what so I can't give you a definitive answer, but the few rejected nominations were down to one of the following:

* Reboot-only characters - as mentioned in the Profile/FAQ, TOS/AOS characters are assumed to be TOS, although you can ask for their AOS incarnations in the optional details. For this reason characters who only appear in the Reboot weren't added. (There are a few reasons for this, not least the fact that including the same characters but in different canons makes the matching way more complicated and I've never done this before so I'm trying to keep it simple!)
* Friendships that were already in the tagset in a different form
* Spelling or formatting problems - any nominations affected have been added back into the tagset in the correct format.

If none of those sounds right, let me know what you nominated and I'll check!

I nominated Amanda Grayson & Winona Kirk, which I suppose could fall under the first point, but I think Winona should be able to count as a TOS character. We know she exists in that universe (because Kirk) and she appears in a bunch of TOS novels and fanfics. And there are characters in the approved list who only appear in the novels, so I don't see why Winona should be ineligible. (Assuming that was the reason.)

I have to admit I was torn on this one from the start - my concern was that people only familiar with TOS wouldn't have any basis from which to write Winona, but you're right, she does appear in novels and things, and if people don't want to write it they won't offer it.

You've convinced me, I've added it back in! The tagset is now closed and sign-ups are open!
