So her Watcher had ordered her to go to this tiny ass town in the middle of California called Sunnydale, and she was way not happy about it. All because the residents couldn't handle a few vamps moving in and they wound up taking over, turning the place into an all-you-can-eat buffet. Great, just great.
Buffy stepped off the bus, which refused to stop in town and hiked towards Sunnydale. Night had fallen, which meant the vamps would be out in full force.
And sure enough, she came to a graveyard and heard some people screaming bloody murder. But instead of seeing a vampire feasting on some poor little person, she saw what looked like a van and people being forced into it. So, they're collecting people to save for later?
"You guys are being pretty damn lazy," she said, pulling the crossbow over shoulder and aiming at one of the vampires who spotted her. He growled, but was extinguished within moments. "What happened to just having a good hunt?" she said, as she moved around the van, reloading her crossbow. "At this rate, you're going to run out of your food."
She shot and dusted another one, while the other two came at her and she kicked and punched her way through them. She retrieved a stake from her back pocket and plunged it into their chests, watching them explode into dust. The people scampered without even a "thank you."
Buffy rolled her eyes, "Typical."
