I'm looking for fiction that features a slave who needs to pass an obedience test, probably because he is on his last chance and will be put down or sent to hard labour if he doesn't conform. There is a story I hope to find but I'm keen to read anything with slave obedience exams.

Thanks for the response! I looked through the Boys in Chains archive on ao3 and the story I want is not there - I am fairly sure this story is not on ao3. I read this story some years ago, when I was first looking at slash and slavefic on line, and I think I found it towards the end of a long Google search. The fandom did not register at all so I think it may have been a fandom unfamiliar to me at the time. Sigh. Now I'm obsessed, and the story may not even be still up.

I have read most of the Boys in Chains stories already but I was reminded of a few! Thanks.
