37th Slay [Video || Action]

Jun 14, 2011 15:14

[There's an action sequence of Buffy fighting a small knot of zombies. She's kicking, punching and in one instance, staking a zombie in the ear. She pulls the stake out with a disgusted face. There's zombie blood and goo and brains on it.]Turns out, killing zombies, not that different from killing vampires. Stay away from the teeth and shove a ( Read more... )

[Before another zombie can get to her it disappears in a ball of blue light that crashes into it. When the light fades there's nothing left. The source is a tall man coming towards her. There's a blue character glowing on his forehead. He's calm and looks perfectly at ease with the situation.]

[Buffy blinks up at the very tall man with the glowy on his forehead.]

Look at you. All neat, clean and glowy.

I do like to make sure I clean up after myself.

[He looks around at the rest of the zombies there. Such a nuisance really.]

It's the polite thing to do. [She roundhouse kicks a zombie that's really decomposed and manages to disconnect it's brain stem from it's spine. It goes down bonelessly.]

Nifty. It doesn't always work that way. I'm Buffy.

[This is Dawn in a completely different place than Buffy, an alleyway in Downtown from the looks of it. Her brow is cut open and dripping with blood and she looks a little worse for the wear.]

I kind of like the sword action. It works better than the pointy pieces of wood. Also less ew on me and more ew on the zombies. Plus, I think I'm getting better at it as I go, the sword work, I mean.

I was sort of hoping you hadn't been pulled into this today. [She's trying not do the way over the top protective sister thing.] Are you holding up okay with the sword and the not getting bit thing?

Like I was gonna let you have all the fun -- or -- all the your kind of fun anyway. And no bite marks although they do seem to think I'd be all tasty. I like to think that if they did eat me, I'd taste like chocolate or strawberries, or chocolate covered strawberries even.

It's work. Not fun. [Lecture lecture pooh pooh] Let's not find out? I'd rather not have a zombie for a sister.

[Will's dirty, covered in a mixture of dirt, grime and blood, although he looks distinctly unbothered by it all, instead going so far as to grin at his device.]

Zombies. Is that what they are? [He pauses for a moment, gaze flickering up towards the sky.] They're not quite what Haiti claims they are -- nor Africa, for that matter; I was under the impression there would be less blood. Perhaps I'll write a strongly-worded letter of complaint on the matter of misleading impressionable youths and intrepid European explorers who know no better.

[She had a feeling he'd be right in the thick of things like this. Not that she will argue. He's not her baby sister and she could use some help out here.]

I'll sign your strongly worded letter of complaint. It can be more like a petition.

A petition would have an air of organisation about it and require far more effort than I'm willing to give.

All play and no work means nothing gets done, William. Or haven't you heard?

[There is a crunching sound as a zombie's skull gets caved in from behind her. It isn't dead, or dead a second time, until he shoots in the head with what appears to be an over sized shotgun at first glance.]

Impressive. You are quite good at zis, ja?

[She has to resist the urge to respond with the same accent. It would be horrible.]

Thanks. It's sort of my job. You're good too.

[Crappy German accents are the best though.]

Ze exciting life indeed. Hunting monsters.

[Not really trying to distract her as a zombie is trying to get into position to gnaw on Buffy's brains. He kicks the closet one to him in the chest to knock it back.]

Zey just keep getting up, up, and up. If zere is nothing here you are looking for, zen it might be good to make with ze escape.

[He kicks one in the chest, she lets an elbow fly back into a collarbone that snaps. She spins and catches the zombie in the hip with the heel of her boot. It goes down and she pulls the scythe off her back and buries the blade in it's brain. She leaves it there for a second, until the zombie stops twitching and pulls it out.]

My little sister is here somewhere. I won't leave without her.

[A rush of wind and the heavy flap wings comes from above. Dulcie is in full flight mode, her wings painted a matte black to blend into the scenery. Also, she decided to dress like a total badass biker chick for some reason. Obviously it improves zombie slaying. She is also toting a slightly impressive-sized shotgun.]

Hey! Blonde lady! Are you doing alright there?

[Oh hi angel lady. Those she's got a serious angel of death sort of thing going on. It's impressive.]

Holding my own. Nice jacket.

Thanks!

[Dulcie takes the opportunity to land, her steel-toed boots making an impressive clunk on the sidewalk. Her initial bad-ass appearance is slightly dampened now that she's closer since it's clear that she's grinning from ear to ear]

I can't believe there are actual zombies. This is the coolest week EVER!

[The grin is infectious so Buffy smiles back]

I'm guessing you don't have zombies where you're from.
