I am going crazy because a friend was due to post today. He was going to post after hearing about his very dangerous cancer today. He was going to hear at 10, and he has not posted. I would feel like a completely selfish heel to post this under my own name, of course. But I am going crazy, yes.

I hate the way my bad moods usually turn me into a total prick. I never intend to be a total prick.

This is why I hide away from people when I'm in a bad mood/leave rooms etc. I fear being a prick way more than I fear loneliness. I don't always manage it though.

Oh, hon. I only seem to have generic placatory things to say which doesn't help, because it just sucks full stop. In other news I won something at a rock bottom price - except I misread and have to go to Wiltshire to get it....

I was just thinking about what is inside batteries, and realised that not only do I not really know what is inside batteries, but I had sort of always pictured the insides of batteries as being like a sort of tiny Swiss Roll, only made with shortbread and some sort of dry, chocolatey filling.

There are a surprisingly or unsurprisingly large number of videos about this on YouTube. I hesitate to link in case I spoil the sense of mystery. I suspect there must be sherbert or popping candy involved at some point, based merely on my own battery licking experiments.

They're probably full of bicarbonate of soda, and lemon juice.
