You'd have to think about the reasons why. If its just because you think it looks cool (which it does) that shouldn't be a reason to get it, or at least not in such an extremly visible location. Like my stars, yea I know they are cliche and everyone has them but they do remind me of a 'big' picture and where I can from, and no one can see them unless I make a effort to show them. I would think that if it represents your heritage, thoughts or ideas or you feel like it will make you feel apart of something larger then get it.

Regardless of what the tattoo itself "means," just having one would remind you of the period of your life in which you got it more than anything else. That's meaning in itself, and (for me) that kind of memory has more meaning than some cryptic or foreign tattoo that you have to explain to everyone whenever it's visible.
