Quistis didn't so much have a headache as she lived a headache. Being in charge of Garden was a nightmare that she couldn't wait to discharge herself of. No one considered her the Commander, least of all herself.
She needed more alcohol, and she wanted to bite the head off whoever was knocking on her doorframe, because --
"Squall," Quistis said, face lighting up instantly. She could kiss him. And not for reasons that would make Rinoa blow things up.
(Well, not just for reasons that ... never mind.)
"For you, yes," she said, gesturing to the nearest chair. "We have seven contract offers from Galbadia. Two of them are related to the Timber peace talks. Meanwhile Trabia wants our help rebuilding their Garden, and the faculty has been up in arms over how much assistance we should be contributing. We've also just received a strange letter that I'm not sure what to make of -- you should read this yourself."
That was her cue to go rummaging through the desk drawer until she found it. One moment, please.
