UPDATED!

This is far from perfect, but it works. I'll refine it later. Please note that it only works for people with paid accounts, because it uses S2 advanced customization.

Wow! Thank you, Noah.

If I have a currently-paid account and do this now, what will happen when the account lapses? I turned-off my payments in protest. Will it revert, or stay as-is until I try to change the layout?

(Dear LJ: You done just got pwnd.)

You're welcome!

I really have no idea what will happen; it depends on LJ. Most likely it'll revert, though.

I know that in the good old days, custom CSS didn't revert. I had custom moodthemes and the like on journals for years that didn't have money dumped on them.

But like N said, it's always a difficult call with LJ. Can't hurt to check it out and see if it sticks when the paid time expires, maybe?

I might snag this one for Jono's account before it expires, myself. Thank you, Noah!

I think it'll stay as-is if your paid account goes down to a Plus; the custom comments would turn off if you take it down to a Basic. (But the journal and flist layout would stay either way.)

And very cool, Noah! I'm playing around with it on one of my potential-character journals now, because God knows I can't stand Minimalism either.
